Get closer is where I share music I'm still working on. It's free, and you can leave any time. The music stays with you. Unreleased songs are for your ears. Don't record them, rip them, or post them anywhere. To pass one on, use the share button inside: that link opens it for a friend for a week, and that's the only way it travels. What I keep, and why. Your name and email, so I know who you are and can let you in. Your city, so I can tell you when I'm playing near you. How long you've been listening and how you found me, so I know who's walking in. The notes you leave, so I can read them and reply. What you play, ask for, share and say you're coming to, so I know what's landing. If you ask me to play your city, the city, the place you named, how many you'd bring and your note, so I know where to plan shows: other fans only ever see how many people asked for each city, never who. Which follow buttons you tap, as a count. If you work in the industry, what you do and where. I also count how Get closer gets used: what's opened and played, and what doesn't work, so I can make it better. Those counts are never sold, and there are no outside trackers here. What I don't do. I never sell your details or hand them to anyone. New-music emails only come if you tick the box, and every one has a one-tap way out. Signing in uses Google or an email link: I never see a password. The law. South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) covers all of this. Your details are used only for the reasons above, kept safe, and not kept longer than they're needed.
